Two years and an early split with the New Orleans Saints isn’t the end of Isaiah Foskey’s NFL journey. The former second-round draft pick is working out for a couple of teams in week ahead, per CBS Sports’ Matt Zentiz. After scheduling a tryout with the Chicago Bears later this week, Foskey is expected to visit the Philadelphia Eagles after their season-opening game with the Dallas Cowboys.
One team that hasn’t been linked to him, but who we’re looking out for? The Cincinnati Bengals. They hired Foskey’s college defensive coordinator for the same role, and they’re still needing help in the rotation after extending Trey Hendrickson’s contract. If Al Golden is still a believer in his former player, maybe they enter the Foskey sweepstakes, too. But at this point it’s looking like Foskey’s production at the college level just hasn’t translated to the pros. Good luck to him.
