Matt Wilde’s new album is a soft collision of soul, jazz, and electronic
We just got passed Matt Wilde’s new album last week, and it is dope. The title track on the album is called “Find a Way” and it shares with our favorite underground beats a spaciousness and emotional vulnerability that feels right at home.
From the first seconds the track sets a mood: layered textures of synth pads and subtle atmospheric washes frame the piano. Wilde doesn’t rely on flash — the power lies in the restraint. The track perfectly mixes the keys and horn section with that beautifully simple synth line.
The video for “Find a Way” brings to life the smoothness of the music in dance form — Jamal Sterrett seemingly floats through the whole video. Stream the new single below and if you like what you hear, go pick up the Find a Way on vinyl from Matt’s Bandcamp page.
