New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart just finished his impressive rookie season in blue, giving fans a preview of what could become a stellar NFL career. He’s not about to slow down now that the season is over, either. He’s planning on getting right back out on the field and preparing for next season.
«Those have definitely been conversations we’ve been having,» Dart told Giants.com’s Madelyn Burke when asked about his offseason plans to work out with teammates. «Just trying to make sure we formulate a good plan around everybody’s schedule to get together.

«This offseason is very important to us. There’s a lot of uncertainty with what’s going to happen. The certainty we do have is the people coming back. You know, we’ve got to make sure we create the strongest culture and relationships that we can going into this next year.
«It doesn’t have to do as much with football, but just spending time with each other off the field and then when we get those chances on the field, to create those connections, create the timing and the rhythm of how we work, making sure that everybody’s on the same accord.»
The teammates Dart is referring to «coming back» are wide receivers Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson, running back Cam Skattebo, and tight end Theo Johnson.
Dart’s plans to get everyone back out on the field might have to wait. Injuries and contract issues could cause a delay in the reunion.

Dart and Nabers never really got a chance to gel on the field this year. Dart didn’t play until Week 4, and that is the game where Nabers injured his knee and was lost for the season. The connected just twice in the game for a total of 20 yards. Nabers is expected to be ready for training camp, but there’s been chatter that he’ll start that on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and perhaps miss the early part of the 2026 season.
Robinson is a free agent come March, but speculation is that the Giants would like to keep him. Robinson has caught over 90 passes two seasons in a row and has become one of the NFL’s most reliable receivers.
Skattebo shattered his ankle seven games into his rookie campaign, and despite his presence around the Giants’ facility, he still has quite a ways to go in his rehabilitation. Odds are he makes it back for training camp, given his makeup, but he’s still a question mark.
Johnson and Dart built a bit of a rapport this season, but he ended the year on the sidelines with a «non-contagious infection/illness» that was serious enough to keep him off the field but not serious enough to prevent him from attending a Knicks game.
