Bresee will be a huge part of a rebuilding Saints defense.
We are nearing closer to the New Orleans Saints 2025 season with now 90 days before opening day against the Arizona Cardinals. Defensive lineman Bryan Bresee will wear No. 90 for the Saints this season. Bresee is the 15th player in franchise history to wear that number. Despite only two years in the league, he might already be the most accomplished No. 90 for the Saints. Here’s a closer look at Bresee’s background as our Saints Player of the Day.

Bresee was even better in his second season. He again appeared in all 17 contests, playing 709 defensive snaps, 60% of the total on that side of the ball. Bresee’s 7.5 sacks led all New Orleans defenders. He also added 14 QB hits, 19 pressures, and 7 tackles for loss while tipping 3 throws.
Bryan Bresee will be one of the cornerstones to the defense for new coordinator Brandon Staley. The only question is where his best fit is in Staley’s system, expected to employ more 3-4 alignments. Possessing excellent quickness and agility, Bresee will most likely be an end in 3-man fronts and move inside to tackle when the Saints play a 4-man front. Bresee has flashed All-Pro abilities. His continued development will be key for New Orleans defensive improvement this season.
