Confidence, ambition, and vision on Jeune Dalee’s new album, “JEUNE VOIE”
I’m always impressed by the amount of great music coming out of Switzerland. For a relatively small country, there is a surprising amount of house, jazz, and indie being produced in the shadows of the Alps.
But one genre I’ve yet to appreciate from Switzerland is rap. This is what was so pleasing when I received the new album preview from Swiss producer, Jeune Dalee.
Dalee is a rapper who does it all himself: producing, writing, mixing…shaping every detail. His new EP, JEUNE VOIE, unfolds across ten tracks. His sound exudes self-confidence, ambition. The content of the album is about choosing your own path through uncertainty. The project feels focused, honest, and intentional. It’s a thoughtful spin on old school hip hop that feels fresh.
