BURN: Holy Høly & DXCV3R.
We are BURN! We make electronic music with elements of industrial and trip hop. Our sound is full of chopped vocals fluttering hearts. Or perhaps the other way around
The music is made by Bartek / Dxcv3r, known for his project The $cience and ThunderFuzz. The album of the latter, called “Anti Body”, has been widely appreciated by the trip hop scene, and one of its tracks, “Horizon”, has been included on a “Down Tempo Fix, Vol. 1” compilation released but the American label, H1 Massive.
Ewa, more broadly known as Holy Høly, has recently released a solo album, “262626”, which received an 8/10 rating from the Interia Muzyka portal, which referred to it as “a successful sentimental trip back to the 1990s”. Holy plays the bass in the Noce / zespół and MSM punk bands, as well as the piano in an ambient duo with Daniel Löwen. She also contributes her vocals to other music producers.
Together, DXCV3R and Holy Høly, have previously contributed one of their tracks, “RUN!”, to a compilation “Music From Poland” released by the Go boys records.
Ewa Baran a.k.a. Holy Høly! is a composer, pianist, bassist, and vocalist known for projects such as Regresja (acid jazz), Noce (post-rock), and MSM. She is associated with Diffuse Reality Records label (Hard Times) and italian Cultural Bridge.
In January she has released her solo album «#262626» – downtempo electronica with a touch of trip-hop and elements of glitch, nu jazz, and smooth vocals. She is also working on an ambient album in a duet with Daniel Löwen.
She participated in the “Taki Pejzaż” project by the Polin Choir and Dominik Strycharski, and appears in the backing vocals for soundtracks by Amaury Laurent Bernier.
Under the pseudonym DXCV3R hides Bartosz Brzeziński, known mainly from the duo ThunderFuzz, which he has been co-creating with Camille Fabre since 2020. Their album Anti Body gained recognition in the trip-hop community and the song Horizon appeared on the vinyl “Down Tempo Fix Vol. 1” released by the H1 Massive label.
Bartek also collaborates with the Canadian-British group Ashes and Dreams and TabInStereo (USA). He is also starting to appear on the Polish music scene with reworks of two songs from Ania Sama’s debut album and cooperation on a song for Polaczek.
