German duo, Flauschig, reinterprets Maex’s gospel house single, “Can You”
German producers Stephan Spieker and Jason Durrant are duo behind Flauschig (which I think means “fluffy” in German). And to be honest, “fluffy” is a great way to describe their flavor of bouncy disco house — it’s house music that gives you a warm hug on the dance floor.
For their latest release — a remix of Maex’s track “Can You” — the two DJs have reinterpreted the track into a smooth evening starter. The remix slows down the tempo of the original and sneaks the gospel vocal track in to build the energy. They’ve also added some Balearic synths to the mix and give the bassline a laidback makeover. It’s that kind of track you like to hear while sipping your cocktail beside a pool before the rest of the night unfolds.
