When the trade that sent Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers was announced, everyone was shocked, including Doncic himself. He thought he would play with Dallas forever, and he made it clear that he never asked out.
“Yeah, definitely,” he said. “It was a little bit surprising though. I was a little bit surprised. It’s a new guy in the city and the way they showed me love since day one, it’s been unbelievable for me. I feel the love, for sure.”
Lakers fans tend to fall head over heels in love with the team’s stars. They have done so over the last couple of years with guard Austin Reaves, who is now playing at an All-Star level, and although LeBron James may not be embraced as a true Laker, he has been accepted by the team’s fans.
