A total of 13 former Wisconsin Badgers are scheduled to announce their former NFL teams’ draft picks next week in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Other Badgers on the list are wide receiver Lee Evans (Buffalo Bills), nose tackle Tim Krumrie (Cincinnati Bengals), offensive lineman Travis Frederick (Dallas Cowboys), tight end Owen Daniels (Houston Texans), tight end Stu Voigt (Minnesota Vikings), offensive lineman Ryan Ramczyk (New Orleans Saints) and nose tackle Beau Allen (Philadelphia Eagles).
The Badgers are easily the most represented college in the 40-person list, with 13 program alumni scheduled to be present in Green Bay. USC, LSU, Georgia Tech, Alabama and Penn State follow with multiple athletes poised to announce picks.
Given the draft’s location, the Green Bay Packers are naturally the most represented NFL organization. Seven former Packers will take the stage with kicker Mason Crosby and Jordy Nelson as the headliners. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks are the only other teams with at least two alumni scheduled to be present.
The Badgers’ in-state ties to Green Bay play a role in the high volume of program alumni included. With Green Bay roughly two hours north of Madison, the venue is essentially in UW’s backyard.
Four of the 13 Badgers were selected in the first rounds of their respective drafts, the highest being Joe Thomas at No. 3 overall in 2007. Class of 2024 Wisconsin safety Hunter Wohler, offensive tackle Jack Nelson and guard Joe Huber are all projected to be selected in the fifth or sixth rounds of the 2025 draft. None are expected to go in Friday’s second or third rounds.
