Munan teases his upcoming EP with brand new single: “Fake Love Friday Night”
Munan is the new project from Korean-Australian artist Peter Lee. His sound combines a blend of indie-pop with just a hint of psychedelic. If you like artists like Tame Impala, Toro Y Moi, or Mac Demarco, you are going to like what Munan has to offer.
Last week Munan announced his upcoming EP with a new single called “Fake Love Friday Night.” It’s an energetic track that showcases Munan’s artistry and songwriting. The track is built around a guitar riff that drives the song forward while an anthemic chorus delivers a layer of raw emotion beneath.
The song explores one of the unfortunate truths that can arise from a one-sided relationship — one side might be falling in love, while the other is there for much shallower motives.
“I had the idea for ‘Fake Love Friday Night’ for a long time,” explains Lee when talking about the new single. “I’ve gone through numerous demos to find the right feeling for the meaning. I had the guitar riff looping at first, and from there, I started writing out the story of a man who has had enough of just being a ‘fling’.”
More details on his upcoming EP coming very soon.
