The North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils add another chapter to their storied rivalry on Saturday as the first meeting of 2026 will take place in the Dean Dome. North Carolina enters this game as the No. 14 ranked team in the AP Poll while Duke is ranked No. 4 and has just one loss on the season.
With this game being so big, ESPN decided to send its College GameDay crew as they broadcasted live from the Dean Dome in Chapel Hill. To end the episode, the College GameDay crew made their picks for this big game between Duke and North Carolina.

And they favor the Tar Heels. Of the three picks, two of the analysts picked the Tar Heels to win the game.
Seth Greenberg and Andraya Carter both picked the Tar Heels with the lone Duke pick belonging to former Blue Devils guard Jay Williams.
A win at home would be huge for the Tar Heels who are seeking to get a top four seed in the ACC Tournament and a double bye. They are also looking for some revenge.
The Blue Devils took all three meetings between the two teams last season including the third one in the ACC Tournament. North Carolina needs to get a big win this weekend and keep that momentum going. Let’s hope they can deliver that for the home crowd in this game.
