The Los Angeles Rams aren’t just the best team in the NFL right now. They might be the closest group, too.
With Sean McVay leading the way, they’ve built an incredibly tight-knit locker room that features a mix of veterans and young stars. One of those veterans, of course, is Davante Adams, who’s in his first season with the Rams and loving every minute of it.

After the team’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night, Adams said something that stuck out to a lot of people – McVay included.
“Most importantly, I’m having the most fun playing that I’ve ever had. Real grateful for the opportunity to play for a team like this,” he said.
McVay didn’t hear Adams say it at the time, but after COO Tony Pastoors sent him the quote, it made his night.
“Tony Pastoors sent me that last night and I got so much love for him as a person,” McVay said Monday. “That made my night. There were a lot of things that were really cool about last night, but it’s a combination of being around a lot of special people. You look at that room that he’s a part of with Eric Yarber, Nate Scheelhasse, Rob Calabrese, obviously his teammates in there, but that’s what you want. That’s why you coach, to try to be able to build meaningful relationships and create experiences where guys genuinely enjoy coming in and doing hard things together. I thought that was really cool. I’m glad you brought that up.”

Adams endured a lot of losing in the last couple of seasons since leaving the Green Bay Packers. The Las Vegas Raiders were a complete and utter mess during his tenure, creating a lot of frustration for the veteran receiver. His time with the Jets wasn’t much better despite reuniting with Aaron Rodgers.
Now with the Rams, all he’s done is win. Los Angeles is 9-2, leading the NFC West and holding the No. 1 seed in the conference.
Adams is destined to get back to the playoffs and potentially reach the Super Bowl for the first time in his career. The vibes are high in Los Angeles, both on the field and off it.
